Demo terms
Effective Details to follow
The demos run in two modes. Simulation is free, needs no sign-in, and sends nothing to a model; its names and numbers are made up. The typed chat needs an account and your key; live mode a verified phone too. Your key is held in memory for the session only. It is never written to a database or a log.
Telephony runs on Plainbuilt's Twilio account. These terms cover both modes and the sales voice agent.
What are the demos?
Simulation: scripted, deterministic conversation replays per industry (contractors, field services, logistics, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing), an interactive branch where you pick what the caller wants, and a read-only view of the agent's flow (intents, tools, handoffs). Public on the service and product pages. With an account you can save a run, edit an agent's details in the agent builder and save the build, and download the spec pack.
Live: a real call to the demo agent on your own key, an SMS demo where you text the toll-free number and the agent replies, and an email demo where you email a demo mailbox and get an agent reply. The transcript, the timing, and what the agent would have done in your CRM are shown after each call.
Sales voice agent: "Talk to our sales agent" calls the 812 line, which runs on Plainbuilt's own production stack. No sign-in is needed. Timeline set in the working session
What do you need for live mode?
A sign-up by magic link, your own LLM API key (OpenAI Realtime by default), and a phone number verified by a one-time code sent through Twilio Verify. Live calls go only to numbers you have verified, and international numbers are not accepted in live mode at first. Live mode is open once phone verification is switched on; while it is not, the live page says so, and the sign-up on the demos page gives you the simulations, the agent builder and the downloads.
How is your API key handled?
Your API key is held in memory for the session only. It is never written to a database or a log. It is redacted from error reports. The key stays in your browser's memory while the page is open and is passed per request: it is sent once to start a call, and once with each message in the typed chat; the server uses it for that one request to open the session or fetch the reply from your provider, and then drops it. The typed chat stores nothing: the messages exist in your browser while the page is open and travel to your provider through our server for each reply. There is no server-side cache. No table stores user API keys. When you leave the page, the key is gone. You are responsible for the key you enter: use only a key you are allowed to use, and revoke it with your provider at any time.
What are the limits?
Per account per day: 2 live calls of 5 minutes or less, 20 SMS messages, and 5 emails. A global daily cap applies across all accounts, and the site may pause live mode when it is reached. Only verified numbers can be called. Saving runs and builds and downloading packs have daily limits per account; the page tells you when you reach one. The question-and-answer bot is rate-limited per IP address and session.
What does an account store?
Your account holds your email. Saved simulation runs (the script, the branch you picked, and the outcome) and saved builds (the details you typed into the agent builder) stay on your account until you delete them. Each download is logged to your account. The privacy policy has the full list.
Are live calls recorded?
Every live call opens with a recording consent line; continuing the call is your consent to the recording and the transcript. After the call we store the session, a hash of the number called, the call's duration, the transcript, and a cost estimate, and we show you the transcript and timing. Do not put other people on a live call without telling them it is recorded.
Who pays for what?
You pay your model provider for what runs on your key. Plainbuilt pays for the telephony. Live mode is a demonstration, not a service with an uptime promise, and a call may drop or be cut at the cap.
What can you download?
With an account: the agent spec pack for each build you save (a prompt, the flow as JSON, and an integration checklist, as Markdown or JSON), the integration checklist alone, and the guide packs as PDF. A guide pack is also available from its guide page with an email address and no account: the link appears on the page and a copy goes out by email. Each download from your account is logged to it and tags your contact in Brevo; a guide pack asked for from a guide page tags the email you entered. The packs are provided as they are, for your own evaluation.
What is not allowed?
Using the demos to harass, threaten, deceive, or spam anyone; calling or texting a number you have not verified as yours; sharing an account; entering a key you are not permitted to use; and any attempt to break the caps, the verification, or the platform.
